Enabling Accessibility Tools

CommunicationFIRST makes available the UserWay Website Accessibility Widget, powered by a dedicated accessibility server. The software allows this website to improve conformance with WCAG 2.1.

You can enable the CommunicationFirst.org accessibility menu by clicking the accessibility menu icon (a black and white humanoid figure) in the lower right corner of every page. It make take a moment for the menu to fully load; please be patient.

Disclaimer

CommunicationFIRST commits to working continuously to improve the accessibility of this site and its other services. We believe we have a collective moral obligation to provide seamless, accessible, and unhindered access for those of us with disabilities.

We have identified two 3rd party services that we are utilizing that currently are showing up as errors in accessibility testing. Our "Sign up for update" widget, and one of the fields on our donation page. We are currently working with the 3rd party vendors to reconcile these errors and at this time, we do not feel that they represent a substantial barrier to accessibility as they have both been tested and utilized using "keyboard-only" navigation. If you have any issues please contact us as soon as possible.

Despite our efforts, it is possible some content may not yet conform to the strictest accessibility standards, either because we are unaware of the barrier or because we have not yet identified a technological solution or other modification. Please help us improve our accessibility by letting us know if something is inaccessible or if you have ideas for improved accessibility.
